Second Sequence, Table II: The Building of the Components. November 28th, 2008.

The intensity of the first sequence, first table- is something that I think we should build off of and maybe aim to continue throughout the entire film. "Speed is of the essence in war." - Sun Tzu, and I am thinking that this battle should be conducted the same way. I was looking at the film title "88 Minutes" today and, though it was in my mind that this film shouldn't surpass the 1 hour and 15 minute mark, 88 minutes might be a good standard to follow.

With the second sequence's opening Table II: The Building of the Components, I am thinking that Big B and Fashion race across Jane gathering components. The nemesis, Antitechnology and his (its) band Drastic Actions (or, whatever its nomenklature is decided upon) can be randomly attacking the two at their different locales: The music attracts zombies and thus creates the nuisance. Fashion, with his Supermodels, breaks off Fashionsquads to draw off the attacking zombies, while the SOTC, via Big B's communiques and rapport- interdict the "drawn" zombie elements.

I've decided to just write on "Lunar B" as often as possible in free-form, minding the outline, but just musing otherwise......

"Big B moved across the land under the full moon, cliche in his silhouette, and carrying his satchel of Guerilla Soap. He was mumbling cheerfully, as delightful as Big B is even in the most adverse of situations: "Guerilla Soap is my only hope. Guerilla Soap is my only hope." The SOTC, or the Stations of the Cross Contingents were staggered in guerilla-like outposts throughout the River on the Jane side. Jane had been besieged by the Twin Zombie Queens of the Sun and the Moon for some time now, and killing Zombies had become an artform along this front. The zombies that did penetrate into Jane were quickly averted by Fashion and his Army of Supermodels who would use the ever-effective fashion show as the dominant form of maneuver to employ their beautiful arrays: These would repel the zombies and send them on a bounce trajectory towards the Screaming Butterfly Cafe where a Super Xenon Timing Facility had been established. It was here where Antitechnology, the punk rock nemesis- played with his band to draw the zombies deeper into the SXTF where they would be locked in the strobed qualia that would reduce them to null-forces. Big B made his way from post to post with Guerilla Soap, where any of the SOTCs who had sustained wounds were quickly cleansed with the zombie-nullifying soap. Big B was usually greeted with: "Big B is my only hope!!!!", followed by hugs and revolutionnary cheek kisses."

The Pre-Scientists

The Witches of the Turbine; also referred to as other nomenklatura here in pre-production, will be- in addition to the Astrologer and other Astrologers and all of the aspects of the Super Pallas Athena Rocket, Turbine, and Navigation will be known as The Pre-Scientists.

The concept of the black hole and the worm hole being developed and modified and channeled to produce safe passages to other points in spacetime is nothing new. The fact that it hasn't been produced and packaged is what keeps it seductive in the fictional market. But, this also runs counter to being able to suspend disbelief, which of grand importance in storytelling. With the simple physics of the normal citizen being unable to facilitate such an outwardly powerful mechanism such as a rocket that would put a human being and his or spacecraft into orbit- much less an array of them as is planned (except, for now- Big B is the only human being making his way to the FBOM Competition Marker), I am looking with appeal to the Baudrillardian concept of turning the sock inside out and going with the black hole and the worm hole.

The most obvious storytelling obstacle I have is, I intend only to put Big B in lunar trajectory and not on the Moon in itself; also, his spacecraft will make the traditional return trip to Earth. The basic question arises: If you can master such a technology, why not just put Big B on the Moon, claim the marker and pull him back through using carry-forward device(s)?

The idea right now is to label this the Super Pallas Athena Rocket, Turbine, and Navigation. There will be structuring of spacecrafts and rockets; the turbine will be the black hole/worm hole apparatus that will end up looking more like dreamcatcher and carousel and be manned by witches; and, the navigation will lend itself to a character who I will affectionately refer to as 'the Astrologer' and who will be like Flight Control using a variety of astrology readings and markings and amlets and what not in adition to the conveyance of the witches who work the turbine and empower the rockets and spacecraft to fall-launch instead of propulsion-based flights.

The Astrologer will be working out this new technology and will limit his stretch of mobility; this also becomes a technical agreement in divying up responsibility for life-support and technical prowess to stay alive and keep human ingenuity in the driver's seat per-se with the spacecrafters.

The other storytelling aspect that can be briefly explored here, and definitely will have some initiation of thought for future Hekatebolos, will be the Stations of the Cross Contingent and their perspective on having 'magic' in the backyard when their standards of operation and belief should be good enough; also, that the technology should be derived by traditional scientific method and not 'hocus-pocus'.

Sequence Number One: The Establishment of the Big B Moonshot Program


This is the first sequence of the film. It will be heavily visual and the dialogue will be determined later. The actions that are taking place will be laid out plainly and when we film the sequence, we'll spend some time improvising and finding the right anecdotal qualities. I'm not even sure 'anecdotal' is a word. Anyways, this leads to the staging of the film: Big B and I discussed that we wanted to make the film on a stage-like platform and challenge the boundaries of live-action, two-dimensional filmmaking. Therefore, when reading this first sequence, think in terms of us as filmmakers shooting live-action, staged horizontal layouts.


The construct for the following sequence is described as such:


If you are sitting in the audience and looking at the 'stage', the Zombies would be massing in the front rows with the Twin Zombie Queens of the Sun and the Moon a ways back from the front line and the infiltration points. The next 'line' would be the Jane River flowing from right to left. On the far shore, with Zombies pouring across the river and massing like ants, in chainlike red-queen approaches, with some of the Zombies being swept downstream to the left- there are the Guerilla Soap Camps. These are visually accentuated with the 'Hekatebolos' logo of the black bordered gold squares. I have introduced the Stations of the Cross Contingents concept to the Hekatebolos and this might be the front line array from left to right. On the right side of the City of Jane is Fashion Hekatebolos and his Army of Supermodels. On the left side of the City of Jane is Antitechnology (Jasson Drastic (and, Drastic Actions)), the Nemesis of Everything, but also an ally in many respects for being the enemy of the enemy in relation to the Zombies. The Zombies that make it through the SOTC Guerilla Soap Camps are repelled by the Supermodels and driven towards the Xenon Timing Facility where Antitechnology (Jasson Drastic and Drastic Actions) play the Opening Song. In the far back center is the Palace of Jane, where the Mayor of Jane through some technology or other announces the FBOM Initiative:


The FBOM, or First Bank of the Moon, is devised by the Mayor of Jane based on his own musings of Lunar Semaphore and Moonphase Manipulation having conceptual possibilities in influencing activity on Earth (to include submission of Zombies). He proposes that to develop the FBOM, he first needs highly motivated individuals who have a can-do attitude and launches a "Lunar X Prize"-type contest. He puts a marker on the Moon and then challenges the Citizens of Jane to send a robot to the Competition Marker. The first one there becomes the CEO of the FBOM. The others that make it get chairs on the Board of Trustees.


In between, center-stage, is Big B and his satchel of Guerilla Soap. Guerilla Soap is a Zombie-Effects Nullifier and a highly sought-after commodity in Zombie War Zones. Big B becomes at this point the focal point. He sells Guerilla Soap, has some of the Contingents protecting their favourite merchant.


The focal point shifts momentarily between Zombie Rushes with Antitechnology raising havoc in Fashion's lines, as he is always (when not killing Zombies)- hanging out with Fashion's supermodels, corrupting them over to the Forces of Punk Rock. Very operatic style here with Fashion and his Supermodels on one side, and Antitechnology moving into the lines of Supermodels, macking them, then turning a few here and there into Antitechnologies. All of this is very cartoonish and is supposed to be as such.


The focal point shifts again to the Mayor of Jane, announcing the FBOM Initiative. Big B acknoweldges and then moves towards the Army of Supermodels and hangs with Fashion, who tells him about his space program ideas and the Hekatebolos in general and asks Big B to be his Astronaut to one-up the stakes for the competiton.


We then transition into what Big B calls "The Notion and the Decision".... This is all improv right now, but it will integrate with the end of the Antitechnology song that has been rocking the whole intro and the whole, general situational picture of Jane, to include the SOTC Guerilla Soapers and the Supermodels.


The culminating shot will be several rockets being erected on launch pads as different Citizens of Jane establish their programs in response to the Mayor's Initiative. All this together make the first sequence. The OPENING CREDITS are still open for production design. They could be integrated or they could be the seguie into the secon sequence, with Big B and Fashion going over components with the OPENING CREDITS on them.

The man known as Big B spurned a good tiding of thought last night into the approach to filming "Lunar B" and it formed around the filming of the components and the spacecraft. I won't delve too deeply into it now, but the two-dimensional approach might be Big B's current gift to the Far-Strike getting aloft. Among other subjects, getting aloft was also one of them in trying to come up with the idea for putting the Lunar B Spacecraft in orbit. Overall, it was a good conversation.

The Establishment of the Big B Moonshot Program


With this sequence in development, the complexity of it is being found in its dual-purpose of creating the world in which Big B and friends work and derive their existence, and to establish a brief Quale for the future Hekatebolos Films. The main drive here is terraforming other celestial bodies, namely the Moon and Mars and the spacecraft platforms that will provide the myriad of technical and support hardware for the accomplishment of terraforming. The subtle, yet forefront Zombie War on Earth is the nemesis in general, though not specific. The Zombie War is a motivating factor for the eventual terraforming platforms to be established. At first, here in the LUNAR B MOVIE, the need to approach the Zombie Problem is the initial step in the "Far-Strike". The Mayor of Jane sees the Moon as the needed objective: Moonphase Manipulation and Lunar Semaphore and exotic techniques as such will be crucial in the victory over the Feral Zombie Strain. When Big B meets Fashion Hekatebolos, Fashion already has plans for terraforming and has conducted a far-strike in his space program ideas already and this and the Zombie War, in which B sells Guerilla Soap- a Zombie Effects Nullifier (ZEN), are contributing factors to Big B's "Notion and Decision" to be the first Astronaut of the Hekatebolos and compete with the other Citizens of Jane who will compete in the Mayor's FBOM, the First Bank of the Moon, Program. The winner takes the helm as CEO, the others become members of the Board of Trustees. All of these ideas will be introduced rapidly in about 8 to 9 minutes of screentime with Drastic Actions playing the opening song, the opening credits rolling, and so forth.

The opening of the film is going to be busy. One of the things I want to advance is the ideas I presented in my book "Slow Rabbit". With this will come combats with the technologies of "Slow Rabbit" where there are Dopple-Boxes, Cupid-Mercury Love Guns, Erythrite Sabots of Red Cobalt, and Ghost Wax. These are alien for the readers right now, and that is good, unless of course you have read "Slow Rabbit". But, Red Cobalt wasn't introduced and neither was Cobalting per se.... The general situation will cover a modified state of civil order and the tools, ways, and products of these environs and their elements. The big item, of course, will be my heroic Big B and his capitalist adventures with Guerilla Soap and its steering abilities for his hopes and dreams.

Deconfliction Notes for the "LUNAR B" movie.

First off, I've decided to refer to my work here on LUNAR B as a movie and not a motion picture, or a film, or a screenpoem, or a hekatebolos. Though all are good, I'm thinking that bringing the loftiness of those terms back to "Movie" will give it more ascendancy, rising, leverage, and so forth than any of the other terms.
B and I worked out basic tasks for the construction of the 1st Sequence of the movie, which is known in my original outline as "1. The Establishment of the Big B Moonshot Program.". I broke down the fifteen original steps into 6 Sequences for the writing of the script and planning purposes:

1st Sequence is composed singularly of "1. The Establishment of the Big B Moonshot Program."

2nd Sequence is composed of "2. The Building of the Components.; 3. The Testing of the Components.; 4. The Big B Simulator."

3rd Sequence is composed of "5. The Competition.; 6. The Press Conferences."

4th Sequence is composed of "7. Launch.; 8. Moonflight."

5th Sequence is composed of "9. Lunar Orbit.; 10. Big B has landed.; 11. Big B's Big Rover.; 12. Big B's Live Television Feed." The 5th Sequence has a completed working edition to the production credit.

6th Sequence is composed of "13. Big B returns to Earth.; 14. Splashdown, Big B Style.; 15. Big B at the Crossroads (Sequel Engine)."

In building the 1st Sequence, I am beginning to gather the elements of Big B, a canted view of the American Interior wrought with diminished conditions, a fascination with guerilla warfare and its derivative being that of diminished civil conditions, the need for a new educational system to account for these measures and the advancement of natural resource management and space-exploration with an emphasis of terraforming and colonization. These are very 'busy' topics within themselves, and I am not terribly advocating any of them... except for the terraforming and resource management, which is the endstate of the Hekatebolos and encompass all of the other topics. The idea here is to alleviate the "too serious about self" without diminishing ego-formed individual achievement. The ideas of advocacy need to be held strictly to "work"....

I will compose the first sequence almost entirely, except for what Big B and I have called "Notion and Decision". As B posted earlier, our time standard for these tasks is August 7th, 2008. Though they are seperate tasks I will probably have to up my time to July 31st to allow B time to assess what I've written and properly build integrating elements so it can be attached to the transitional and junctured end of the sequence.

The opening line of dialogue will be "Guerilla Soap is my only hope..."

The opening shot will be Big B moving along the river silhouetted in front of a huge, low, full moon.

I haven't been able to getting any of the script-writing done on our July 10th goal, but "The Moon Sequence" will get some attention within the next few days. Big B and I have discussed many facets of this project over the last couple of months and our first, real full discussion over the telephone the other day gave me a good sense of the creative work that we'll be able to accomplish.

One of the big goals right now is commercializing our effort,and with this will come a letter on the concept known as "The First Bank of the Moon". Above you'll see two placards that represent moonphases and is a creative way for me to mark time in my creativity. I've worked off and on on this concept, occassionally attempting to find differential and similar aspects of my daily observations throughout a lunar cycle. It hasn't been to much avail, due to the fact that I will have to create a better data-gathering system for this application. But, as I begin to work the creative process of "Lunar B" and having made it the first film in my "Hekatebolos" filmworks, I have included the concept of lunar banking cycles in my Hekatebolos Application found on Facebook, and I want to begin researching its commercial uses for the film and any practical application it may have in the future: In short, to discover its VALUE.

I don't want to delve too deeply into the First Bank of the Moon (FBOM) at this point, but I would like you, the new and expanding fanbase to begin thinking of the concept of a First Bank of the Moon. What might happen on the Earth once the light and shape of the Moon's surface and activity on the Moon begin to be observed from Earth? If, anything- what value could be assessed from a Lunar Intelligence apparatus and how would that system of systems work?

The initial offer here is, tell me your ideas and I will assign it a catalogue number for the Hekatebolos-FBOM under "Lunar B Era", and we'll go from there. Also, there will be plenty more on this operational architecture in the future for you to begin assessing the value of our own ideas within my own designs here. Being the capitalist advocate that I am, I'll be looking to secure these for own profit and for the advancement of the new wealths of those who partcipate. Just like how I present myself with the ever daunting thought of "You only get out of it what you put into it", so goes it with the rest.

Also, this is not collaboration- this is individual effort and individual reward. Your choice to help make the film, the Hekatebolos, or your own station using these aspects is up to you.

Lunar B Lander with Hand-Cranked Internal Landing Pad Extended for Landing


The idea here is when you have a massive flat surface and you let it land on another surface, it blows all the air out on impact and creates a soft landing effect. Here, Big B would hand crank this out of the Lander where it would be stowed away internally until he begins the descent to the Moon. Then, when it comes time to launch, the main lander would detach from the fully extended landing pad.

What's the Pre-Science?


I've entertained the idea with myself previously on the concept of a portal and an advanced-dreamcatcher of sorts as that portal. The current idea is based on the Lunar B Program being a fledging program for the Hekatebolos Terraforming Platform and Applications that will lend to the terraforming of elements of or all of the Moon and the complete terraforming of Mars. LUNAR B funding will be progressive in the storyline and the though there is obviously good humour in this, to include B-film techniques and the like, I do want LUNAR B to develop into reasonably good applications for future manufactures to draw off of later. Just like George Lucas' "Star Wars" dominates how we manufacture military hardware, so is the goal here for realworld terraforming and space exploration. Anyways, the Hekatebolos Application for those of you with Facebooks can begin filtering these ideas in their initial, simplistic currencies like the ones here for the Pre-Science Dreamcatcher.....

B and I have been discussing the concepts of replicating gravity and the possibility of shooting the film completely in B&W, for cosmetics of flaws, or possible partial B&W. The colour would have to be overwhelming to get the effects that I am thinking of at the moment, but this is only the beginning of these dialogues.

Notes from this morning:

1. Outline of the film. What will equate to chapters of the film. There are 15 as of this update.

2. Spacecraft for Lunar B can be old Apollo Program Components that Big B and Seth get from a junkyard or on e-Bay....; or, the two can build a new system of launch vehicle, orbiter, lnder, and rover.

3. GGKB and I discussed briefly him being a possible evil nemesis. The race to the Moon will be a whole bunch of robots and Big B. My idea is that some of the competition could see him as an upstart threat to the competition and send attack-bots attached to their lunar payloads that go after B. B, of course, makes good and befriends the attack-bots... or, whatever...

4. Lunar B Production Blog and Photobucket..... use them.

5. Begin thinking of spacecrafting and sets/locations (what will work to provide the model sequences and the lunar and earthern-landscapes).

6. The Mission Control Scenes are in large part on me (Seth).

7. The first chapter of the film is "The Establishment of the Big B Moonshot Program".... what we're doing right now.... this first part has a few working elements in my mind thus far: a. Big B surfing the web comes across the competition and gets in the game... and/or b. Big B in his quest for resources runs into Seth, in mad-genius mode with the resources and willpower fm his own large-scale terraforming space program ideas. He and Big B figure they can balance out each others productive labours. and/or c. Diner scene(s) of the Big B program coming to life through elaborate dialogues. 1. This is the chance to do eiher diner/cafe scenes or elaborate "Apocalypse Now"- French Indochina Plantation Scenes where the scenes and meals are sumptuous. I am leaning towards this one because it is a nice, classy balancer to our slapstick.

8. Chapter 2, "The Building of the Components" can be where the dialogue-planning shifts into productive labours of the Lunar B Program. The meals should continue, with these dialogues reinforcing the chapters up until about Chapter 6, "The Press Conferences".

9. Chapter 5, "The Competition" is where we can delve more deeply into the "evil nemesis" of Big B. This is where we discuss elements of sabotage and attack-bots and so forth.


10. A big cinematic test will be the differential between Chapter 4, "The Big B Simulator" and the spacecraft during the actual moonshot, from launch to splashdown. Creatig a "Flow" of components incorporated into camera sleight and editing will be integral. The difficulty may arise in the two looking the same, whereas you want the actual mission to look extraordinary in comparison to the simulation.... then again, it's Big B and there's elements thereof...

11. On Terraforming. The Lunar B Payload will include terraforming experiments- like water balloons, flowers and plants, sun lamps, green, blue, and red glass and plastics for biosphereand garden pods, etc. This doesn't have to be functional or elaborate, it is there to introduce the ideas and give depth to character and situation.

12. There should definitely be some "Jack Ass" style stunts in the development of the Lunar B, but this is not to be overdone.

13. Big B's Return Vehicle should splash down in the American River near Cal Expo.

Big B will develop the idea on his own through a series of seguied shots that imply him and a journey to the Moon. He will then seek a 'way' and will run into me, who is working on his extravagant entrepreneurial-capitalist-industrial terraforming platforms for the moon and mars (hehe) and the median will be found here. This will serve nicely for the "Resrevoir Dogs"/"Pulp Fiction" style restaurant dialogues. GGKB, maybe you could go to the Moon with him? As I push my ideas, which are lofty to say the least, I come out of simulacra with the Lunar B program, and Big B comes out of simulacra to, well- Big B. Together, we create the necessary friction to make a good engine. This allows me to introduce all of my ideas vicariously through Big B in the building of the Lunar B spacecraft and Big B, well- he gets to have shelves on it. This is no adjustment to the outline presented, it is merely more notes on the 'way'.

I'm still swimming through the ether on this one, so bare with me. Big B, we need to do Spacecrafting this week.

"Lunar B" is underway. I sent a 512mb SD memory card to Grant and someone decided that they needed it more than we did and lifted it via the U.S. Mail delivery system. I wrote to them and they will log the report. Big B started the "Lunar B Production Blog" at http://lunarb.blogspot.com. The username is and the password is . These are administrative privelages. The purpose of the blog is to provide a central workstation for us while we are apart. Naturally, communiques about finances, matters in need of deconfliction, and such other data as deemed irrelevant to the production and public consumption will be conducted via personal communications. I want to post the emails we send each other because they are classic and integral building blocks. Annotate each email with a disclosure memo as to whether you want the email posted. The second purpose behind the blog is to develop a point of contact for the film's fanbase and to build upon it as we do the same with our own efforts. I know my mention of the production of a t-shirt and poster would seem a bit ahead of schedule, but I believe it to be good "tangible" set of items to reach for immediately and give initial constitution to one's mental stretches. Review the initial lay of credit that I have established and get back to me if you have a discrepancy. Some of the ideas that have been flowing forth:

1. The overwhelming charisma of Big B will overcome all (That and Jesus).

2. I will steer away from computer graphics and stick as much to possible to models and motion-control.

3. Big B in his spacecraft: When he takes off, all his crap falls off the shelves (shelves on a spaceship... that's funny stuff).

4. The humour won't even have to be a stretch... it will unfold perfectly so long as we stick to the outline.

5. Stick to the outline, build within it. Infantry packing rule of thumb: You can add to- but not take away from.

6. Use Wikipedia.

7. If you have a camera on you and you see something that strikes your fancy "Lunar B" style, take a photo or footage no matter how obscure and label it. Then file it on the weblog or at our account at Photobucket:

7b. Photobucket is extremely useful as a database and can be used to link images to the Lunar B Production Blog and whatever other computer-based media is derived. The links can be done just like links from www.youtube.com, but I recommend we stay away from using youtube material.

8. No cursing in the film. Everywhere else is free fucking game, including the documentaries. But, not in the feature itself.

9. Sex scenes are cool too: But, I'm not sure I'm ready to film Big B fucking anyone. So, we'll leave this one on the table.

10. Make a log and a folder to collect scraps and ideas. Like being a prisoner of war, pick up everything relative and secure it. Your production journal may very well be worth more than the film..... but, let's hope the film is still a box office smoker.

11. The goal is Sundance. Hollywood will be derived from that. Should Hollywood intervene with millions of dollars before hand, we'll reconsider.

12. I know everyone hates a rigorous demand, but- if you aren't in this to win, speak up at any point and that will be that. No harm, no foul.

13. I watched "2001: A Space Odyssey" today and the moment where Bowman goes through the whole transcendent trip I had a funny that Big B on his way to the Moon (or, on his way home) could have one of those moments and then we wake him up. What do you think, B?

14. The tasks at hand, Big B is all Spacecraft Oriented.... How many components, what type, launch vehicle, rover, etc.

14a. Next, the decision of Big B going to the Moon to do a Lunar X type mission, where we outdo the competition by sending you instead of a robot.

14b. The 'Cannonball Run' idea can be on a droid level where the competition sees that we are sending a man instead of a robot and they incorporate killer droids into their own programs to take you out and you of course, fend them off and so forth.... The Hero and some good ol' action sequences.

15. Most of all, keep having fun. There will be moments where this might suck, but if we make that the base enemy... we'll do fine.

16. Last note on the production journals.... when you spend money on the project, document it with receipts and staple it into your journals. This allows for analysis of overall spending, the individuals monetary efforts, and the recouping percentages when we divy up the #1 box office smash "Lunar B".

Ottobrata Lunar Program from my Hekatebolos (Far-Strike) Program.

Grant, I will address the technical structure of the Mock-Lunar Program and some of the poetics that I came up with in trying to relate their functionalities as subcomponents forming in tiered-orders toward a complete operational architecture. Secondly, I will go over what was the original storyline play on "Apocalypse Now", originally entitled "An Aquarium Full of Tadpoles". I will use reverse-order description of items starting with the Moon and then working back towards Earth. The surface of the Moon would be the structural foundation for building habitations, primarily craters. The rims of craters and the edges of the Mares (Seas) would provide the structural relief. Everything would be built on the curvature of these terrain features and nothing would be built in the open flat lands. The idea behind this would be to establish a cultural theme of architecture. Any follow on cultures would probably imitate the design at first, but would then build a different way. The structures would conform to the terrain in this manner but the interior would dig back deep into the edge of the crater or mare's edge so that the deep cavernous catacombs crated could be lined with an advanced ceramic and create the seal necessary to contain the life-support systems at super-efficient levels to sustain and nurture life and particularly agrarian concepts. Intra-Surface Points Travel would still be possible by flight, but it would be much safer to create a Lunar Railways that would allow personnel and cargo to be transferred from different clusters of habitation. 'Safer' in the fact that flight would still involve the risk of spinning off into space and the railsystem could be implemented with safety features that would allow for the trains to be pulled back in by manual or back-up systems should the main power drives fail. This would instill confidence in travelers and merchants alike who would recognize the guaranteed safe-passage of their cargoes. The lay of the track would also be meant to conform to the curvatures found in the craters and mares. S-form dynamics would be commonplace. This does not mean that if a straight-line rail is the most feasible concept that it can't be done, or shouldn't be done. But, the general trend is towards forming to curves. Now, the vehicles on the Moon would be comprised of the Ordained Lander and the LICC, or Lunar Irregular Consolidated Civics, Vehicle. In the opening stages of Occupation of the Moon, the Ordained Landers would be capable of adjoining several other Ordained Landers to form clusters for support. The LICCs would be deployed prior to clustering and would be formed in a makeshift adjacent parking area. The LICCs would be loaded for initial mining operations and would house different fabrication devices for transforming readily available moonrock into composite ceramics with chemical components found on Earth that would allow such a bond to hold the integrated architectures being facilitated. The colour scheme of the Ordained Landers and the LICCs would Competition Orange and Porcelain. This sets us into the showmanship aspect of things and the visual of a brightly coloured tree in autumn. The latin sentiment for the seasonal thematics is "Ottobrata", or a beautiful October day. In lunar orbit would be the Ottobrata. The Ottobrata would be a tree-like structure from which the orange-coloured Satyr Spacecraft Systems of Clandestine Command Modules and Ordained Landers with their integrated LICCs would consolidate over the lunar surface. The Ottobrata would be the first iteration in the creation of superstructures in Earth's orbit for deployment to further reaches. The Ottobrata would be solely committed to housing the stores necessary for building on the lunar surface. The Satyr Spacecraft Systems would be able replenish and the crews would have a social system integrated within this 'trunk' to synchronize tasks and have entertainment and rest. The Satyr Spacecraft System, composed of the Clandestine Command Module and the Ordained Lander with integrated LICC would be a reflection of what I described earlier about the habitations of follow on cultures copying an original design and then reworking the 'wheel' to form a new signature effect for essentially the same concept. The Apollo program being the model here. For the Ottobrata concept, the initial Occupation of the Moon would be a grandiose falling of leaves as hundreds, if not thousands of bright-orange Ordained Landers 'scattered and fell' from the 'tree'. The effect being 'a beautiful October day' and meant to inspire and instill an esprit-de-corps even if the descending craft are of a multitude of different individuals and organizations. The Satyr Spacecraft Systems would travel independently from Earth's orbit to the Ottobrata, or as the program advances- Ottobratae. In Earth's orbit, at the outset of the program, would be the building of the Ottobrata and the docking and loading of the materials that would make for the buildings on the lunar surface: The buildings, the railsystem, the life-support systems, everything necessary to create human habitation and creature comfort so as to facilitate functional, productive life. The productivity would be invested towards creating farms in subterranean and glasshouse modules. Bring to Earth's orbit the Ottobrata's building materials, construction teams, and lunar resource packages would be the Super Pallas Athena Rocket, Turbine and Navigation, or SPARTAN. The SPARTAN was poetic license worked and reworked with the more of interest of transcendent word play than actual functioning rocket, or space cargo transport carrier. But, nonetheless- the Saturn V rocket would be superceded by this powerhouse structure that would allow you the writer, or any of the players in the integrated stroryline to delve into different aspects of flight, travel, and mchinery with the grouping of similar, but not necessarily like terms of 'rocket,turbine and navigation'. This creates an alien and transcendent thought that borders on logic and illogical functionality. But, the poetics of the Pallas Athena, being Athens, and th entire word forming towards Sparta, and the seemingly overabundance of everything is nicely countered by putting 'Super' on it. I like it. The actual structure and operational architecture of the Super Pallas Athena Rocket, Turbine and Navigation has not been elaborated on yet, but the purpose would be to put the men and materials into Earth orbit to make all of the good stuff forementioned, applicable and happening. Spaceport. The all important nexus of everything that will go forth into the Heavens and occupy the Moon and create the first Solar System Stepping Stone would be the Spaceport. I have modeled the proposed region of this Spaceport on Half-Moon Bay where Santa Cruz, Watsonville and Monterey lay. I named it Thalassa, which is Greek for "Of the Sea" and all paths of men and material would be greeted by a fully-integrated political, economic, and sociocultural existence capable of receiving vehicles of all sorts, from spacecraft returning to Earth to the arriving aircraft, trains, automobiles, and merchant fleet vessels importing the necessities and the luxuries as the program's viability increased. The People. That is a myriad of characters with different skills and hopes and dreams and levels of willingness and so forth that would come to Spaceport, or hang on its outskirts in fascination, or the ones who would go all the way to the Moon; ones that would design the systems, ones that would build them, and so forth. Thalassa, built on the curve of an Occidental Sea and rooted inland with hub-faceted spokes of pathways in and out would parallel the civil structures being composed on the Moon. Creates a nice closed loop in whic you can expand upon or collapse to focus on individual points with 'breaking the seal' of safe storytelling. That is basically what I mean when I say create a sociocultural dynamic structure, something that is plausible; create something for you to walk around in and explore. Give your element all of the working components to let your mind believe in it just enough to apply to to characters eating gorgeous meals on steamy Cambodian rivers. Good?

As discussed briefly last night, B- we'll film a good amount of stuff using the webcam technique and I'll make mock mission control props on my end.... plus I have a lot of interest in being the 'mission control' guy and so forth, so that is well. The Lunar X Prize is real. What has to be determined is if we use that or go 'Cannonball Run' with it... either way, a 'Smokey and the Bandit' type scenario is good. The key to success here is easy if we stand by our premise: Big B's moonflight. When we talk it has to be on some aspect of it. It inspires legiticimacy and allows for our slapstik to turn into empathetic audience response, instead of apathy when something not plausible is intersped into the film. Also, I am totally down with, pardon the pun- but, using "B Film" techniques and allowing these sleights on screen. I envision a bridging the gap experience here.... a noble 'working man's' can-do without the 'Home Improvement' middle-class throwback. The basic steps that I sketched out today as an outline is as follows:

Establishment of the Big B Lunar B Moonshot Space Program and Motion Picture

This weblog was established on May 23rd and May 24th, 2008 due to the fact that Big B and Seth were on opposite coasts of the United States, with Big B in Sacramento, California and Seth in Fort Jackson, South Carolina. This weblog was established for the production of the film "Lunar B", which stars Big B, is being executive produced by GGKB and directed by Seth Lombardy. From here, we begin the universal dialogue box for the creative element of the film and the public journey to the silver screen. Big B is going to the moon.... and coming back.
